Integrating an old hall with new campus buildings

CR worked with Miami University to develop a plan to deconstruct the Alexander Dining Hall that was added to the original Clawson Hall in the 1960s. The site was reworked to integrate with the new Western Campus walk. The exterior of Clawson Hall was restored to a condition consistent with the building’s original design intent.

The project was a design-bid-build delivery and the total cost of construction was approximately $350,000. CR’s services included design, construction bid document preparation, and construction observation and administration services.
