Project Type: Interior Architecture
Location: Cincinnati, OH
The new building addresses two critical facility shortages: First, the owner’s campus lacked a space large enough to house all the residents simultaneously, causing significant logistical issues during major social and civic events. The addition provided a ground-level assembly area, intended for regular use as a dining area, that can be reconfigured for other events. A second dining area for assisted living residents includes a fireplace and a smaller, private dining room. The upper levels provide studio and one-bedroom apartments for the community’s growing population of assisted living residents.
Surrounded on three sides by existing buildings, one of which is a historic structure, the Building 7 addition had to be carefully designed to allow the facility to function while construction was underway.
