Designed to serve as a model for future stations

Emergency response times had approached 8-13 minutes with about 2,000 emergency calls each year when the City of Kalispell proposed to build a 13,000-sf, three-bay satellite station to serve the northern area of the city. This new station, which will serve as a model for future stations, features a 16-person training room, drive-through bays, fitness/wellness room, on-site training elements and provisions to meet the demand of future growth. The prominent tower extends through the rear of the station and serves as a necessary and functional training component to conduct fire-rescue operations.  The use of indigenous materials and representative features create a contextual fit with the architecture of Montana and the immediate neighborhood.  CR completed this project in collaboration with Grover + Company.
