Unique student housing on a traditional campus

CR is serving as the Architect of Record for three new residence halls on Miami University's Western Campus. Partnered with Mackey Mitchell Architects and Whiting- Turner, CR has designed this high-profile project which is slated for completion in the summer of 2014 and will provide the University with over 700 more beds to accommodate a growing student population. Each new building will be approximately 74,000- sf and will feature open-suite style living space for the residents. This project is the first university project of its kind in Ohio to be completed under the design/build delivery method.

Miami University is a prestigious and historic public university with a formal and traditional heritage. The architecture of the existing buildings on the Main Campus reflects the heritage of this outstanding college. The new residence halls on the Western Campus, acquired by the university in the 70's, will acknowledge the formal architecture of Main Campus while evoking a new and unique aesthetic. Blending the old with the new, the new Western Campus residence halls are designed to achieve a LEED Silver certification.
