Prototype design for two new stations

The design of Stations No. 2 and 3 complements the rural context of the Western Slope of the Rocky Mountains. Station No. 2 was a prototypical design meant for future stations.  It features two double-stacked drive-through apparatus bays, turn-out gear room, clean room/decontamination room, EMS storage, shop/tool room, and a dormitory with restrooms, a fitness room and five individual sleeping quarters. Station No. 3 was completed in 2011. The same design was used for this facility, CR worked closely with the Fire District and Station No. 2 staff to reconfigure the interior space based on the usage of Station No. 2. The same teams worked on  both stations, completing the projects under a condensed project schedule and saving the city money. The energy-efficient, pre-engineered metal building includes CR designed systems for domestic water heating and snow melting at the egress apron.
