An action plan to revitalize an eccentric, urban district

CR prepared an implementation strategy and action plan for a local non-profit redevelopment company. This study focused on the revitalization of a commercial district located east of the University of Cincinnati campus. Short Vine, the name of the street that runs parallel to campus, was once an eclectic, bustling area featuring unique restaurants and retail. This study addressed existing conditions of many of the publicly and privately owned properties, analyzing trade are, demographic, and consumer/ resident characteristics. CR provided the client with recommendations for a repositioning plan and provided general redevelopment concepts.
